This flash game is a top-down shooter that remains unfinished. Originally developed in Unity 3D for my Game Design Workshop II class, I retooled it as a flash game in the Stencyl engine.

The main premise that it is intended to be a “no-button” shooter; where there are two beams that the players need to be inside in order to activate both the firing controls and the shield controls as they defend themselves against the oncoming hordes of alien ships and large boss battles. The draw of the game is based on the player not focusing on just holding/rapidly pressing the fire button blindly and waiting for the enemies to die. The player needs to realize that they don’t have an unlimited number of lives (though for this demo you do) and they need use their position wisely in order to progress in the game.

Overall the game still need some tweaking but the basic mechanics are there; and the idea of a “no button” shooter still holds appeal for me so I hope to come back to it.
